Lo Gorissado

Excellent restaurant de gastronomie locale. Plats copieux et raffinés. Très bon accueil. Calme. Un peu perdu dans la campagne.

If you are anywhere near the Dordogne valley, come to Lo Gorissado, a farm to table food paradise. You'll experience the meal of a lifetime, courtesy of the kindest and most caring staff/owners. My wife and I drove through the woods on winding roads, and just as we thought we'd driven too far, we found this restaurant. After parking in the grass by a barn, we walked​ up to the dining room to be greeted by the smiling face of the owner, the most delightful hostess that has ever guided us though meal. The food was superb as was as the story behind each plate. This husband and wife team knows how to inspire awe with their dishes. We've spent two weeks traveling from Paris, to Lyon, to Nice, to the Dordogne valley, to San Sebastian (Spain), and eaten amazing meals in all of those cities best eateries. None of those meals has compared to the quality, service, and experience at Lo Gorissado. Just one piece of advice: if you're staying in the Dordogne valley for more than a couple days, go to this restaurant last because no other food will compare.

Un lieu atypique qui peut rebuter certain au premier abord mais quel dommage serait-ce de faire demi tour. L’accueil est chaleureux et le service très agréable, on se sent au petit soin. Pour la qualité dans l’assiette, je pense que les photos parlent d’elles même. Gastronomique et pas alambiqué, c’est un pur régal. On sent la fraîcheur des produits. On retrouve les saveurs simples mais si justement assaisonnées avec la pointe d’originalité qui suffit. Une adresse que je garde à coup sûr, si jamais je repassais dans le coin.

Un régal pour les papilles de l'entrée au dessert. Un accueil très chaleureux. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. L'occitan des chênes verts.
